Timeless Matters (Caught In A Dream) Poem by Rik Bertrand

Timeless Matters (Caught In A Dream)

Absence of all thought, yet thoughts exist
Dampened in a dream that continues to persist.
Beaten down by love that I cannot deny
Yet I do not resist, I forever reply.

Replicated hours that are full of timeless matters,
On and on, until, in the end my heart shatters.
No patience, no conscience, just pure resilience,
Crafted by the soul with unadulterated brilliance.

It is a dream of never ending paths unfulfilled,
Horizons lost and the dawn of a new beginning,
Twist and turns bleed the life out of this man,
Yet revitalizes my faith for its final plan.

Timeless matters, unfeathers mindless prayers
The dream traps the thoughts and creates dares.
Breathless times become exaggerated gasps,
As the waking day is within my grasps.
