Time's Trail Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Time's Trail

Visit to the Mendenhall
Gracier's a trip in time
First we start on a trail
Tall trees rise over rocks.

At various points we see
Marks of receding glacier
Every two decades it went
Back over a quarter mile.

Once we move to a point
At a clearing from the trees
Lo behold the grand view
Of the glacier and its lake.

Icebergs dislodged from
The glacier float on water
At the bottom of the glacier
Ice's colored in shades of blue.

Wilderness keeps growing
Spruce trees on the moss
Large leaved Devil's Clubs
Beautify the rain forest.

Nature keeps changing and
Years etched on the rocks
Of glacier's position in the past
Shows traverse of time's trail.

First we start on a trial but nature keeps changing. Wonderful imagery and very nice poem shared here. Very wise drafting really.
