Time Cannot Be Portrayed Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Time Cannot Be Portrayed

Numbers, what are they? Symbols of time that someone long ago
thought up, finding that they formed mathematically correct
phases of time, but not being.

Always wondering why we can't portray time except in pictures
taken down through the years, portraits painted, poetical words
written.

Yet nothing of time can be printed visibly for our enjoyment,
time just continues to pass us by, not caring what we think
or why, it's concept appears to be a life-long mystery that
cannot be fathomed.
