Time Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Time

Rating: 5.0

I never excuse anybody for the want of time
Even though it may be very important and prime
I love some of my friends and relatives
As they are close and very subjective

I may never find time in whole life
As husband has spare time for his wife
And talk about something
Such is the case with powerful king too

How can I say to some to keep off?
How can be I that rude and rough?
Everybody is special and have some good stuff
No amount of arguments can ever bluff

I know only mortals may remain
I may prefer to be excluded in my domain
But at what cost I enjoy the fame?
What is there good in the name?

Do we think work may end soon?
Does the sun have no afternoon?
Or the evening should not set in
Or the birds may not return

I am apologetic to those friends
Wish them all the best and send
Roses or some kind of gifts on occasion
So there remains cordial relation

”I would love to hear them gently
Those words were not heard silently
How far I had witnessed dry spell?
The relation did not turn sour to tell

No one may have time to care
No one may even prefer to be very sure
It differs from man to man
As we are only human
