Thousands Homeless Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Thousands Homeless

Thousands homeless

It may turn to graveyard
Fortune may be reduced to yard
With no recovery
In life's journey

If forests are cut as we do today
It will take away
Prosperity and wealth
And bring deterioration in health standard

Rivers may bring in polluted water
With diseases adding unknown danger
We hear new names of diseases
That list goes on as ceaseless

Children are born with some complicity
This is due to some food habits or deficiency
Adulteration in milk and unnatural ingredients
These all add as health hazards

The artificial death dams
And release of water at an alarming level from them
We have seen it in eastern and north sector
Thousands have been rendered homeless and deaths have occurred
