I wish the wizarding world was real
filled with magic and zeal
Surrounded by wizards and witches
With wands in hand wearing black robes
I wish there was a school like Hogwarts
And a headmaster with half moon spectacles
And house prefects to maintain the dignity
And reputation held by Hogwarts
I was there was a bizarre platform
Hidden behind the walls
Into which students run into
To experience a magical journey
I wish there was a dining hall
With a bewitched night sky
And bright candles hanging
Over the ceiling
I wish there was a boy who lived
With a lightning shaped scar
Exhibiting pure nerve and courage
And a thirst to prove himself
I wish there was a girl
Who is a muggle by birth
But so smart and cute
To be regarded as the brightest witch
I wish there was an evil
As dark as the night sky
With a sheer determination
To attain immortality at any cost
I wish to witness a battle
between the good and evil
Wherein a brave heart stood still
And confronted the evil
To save the enchanting wizarding world

When I read both your poems and your note, I thought its OK to respond. I feel, you have all ingredients to master poetry. What is needed is to sharpen them. PH is an ideal platform for that, Priya. Good luck!
