The Wait Poem by Jane Alamon

The Wait

Rating: 5.0

let Your light shine upon me

let your word comfort me

my nights are dark and days are long

make my woes and trouble gone

trust is a word easier said

when no uncertainties' ahead

but knowing You makes me hopeful

when i'm lost, in Your palms i leave it all

to command your soul and steer your fate

that's what all noblemen say

but without you i am desperate and alone

i take control but with no direction

at times i wonder if You can hear me

or if You care at all

with time withering away

to you once more, i call

hear me, feel my pain

let not my sorrows drive me insane

let not my trust be tested

but restore my faith instead

grant my prayers

may it be Your will

as i lay here

in wait for You still.
