Wishful Thinking Poem by Jane Alamon

Wishful Thinking

Rating: 5.0

my feet embedded on a quagmire

my heart still full of desire

hoping for a love so true

that one day i'll get to meet you

not minding the stresses i'm in

it's you i'm longing

half of a whole, i am

and with you, i'm whole again

stranger at first we may be

soon we'll live in familiarity

but love is elusive yet alluring

sometimes it's nothing

but a wishful thinking
