Jane Alamon Poems

it hurts when you don't take my side

when i think you're wrong and i'm right
...

my feet embedded on a quagmire

my heart still full of desire
...

I long for the rain,

this drought has been far too long.
...

tell me now or let me go

tell me everything i need to know
...

let Your light shine upon me

let your word comfort me
...

colorful, wonderful, beautiful,

indeed you got it all
...

Like a stone in the middle of a raging river,
I stood my ground and didn't move an inch.
Firm and anchored but drowning.
I tried to keep my head afloat to breathe.

it hurts when you don't take my side

when i think you're wrong and i'm right

hurting but not saying until i cry

crying and hating, the next thing we'll fight

too tired but not backing down

shouting until you think you won

however in this game the there's no winner

both of us only gets bitter and bitter

all the words that came out

takes a little bit of my love

everyday seems crazier, a whole lot

i wonder what it is that we got

we want two different things

we never have the same likings

why do we stick with each other

when nothing lasts forever
