The Superior People Will Practise The Self Disciplined Penance!

The extremely superior people who realise
the mortal nonexistence, the occurrence of diseases,
the old age with senility and the imminent death
will practise the self disciplined penance!
But, there are no other ignorant people
than the mad men who speak foolishly
by reading the unending grammar books
and the books of astrology and so on!

நேரிசை வெண்பா
நிலையாமை நோய்மூப்புச் சாக்காடென் றெண்ணித்
தலையாயார் தங்கருமம் செய்வார் - தொலைவில்லாச்
சத்தமும் சோதிடமும் என்றாங் கிவைபிதற்றும்
பித்தரின் பேதையார் இல்.52

the old age with senility and the imminent death will practise the self disciplined penance! a desire to be in heaven with the Almighty, his angels and saints will grow when we become old. it is so natural. you give went to this feeling.. thank u dear poet. tony
