The Sumptuous Moon Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Sumptuous Moon

Oh! Sandra, Sandra, my friend
Smile, smile, and give me a hand
Oh! The moon is so chic and beautiful
Tonight. She is wearing a long gown
Full of sparks. There's no reason to frown
Because the sky is divine and wonderful.

Oh! Moon, your smile is round and brown
Is it too early to bring the queen's crown?
Should I wait until midnight
When the air is fresher and right?
I am anxious to kiss both of your cheeks
Because you defeated the other chicks
Who were sashaying down the runway
Luna, it looks like you're very far away
From Earth, but I feel that you're near
My heart, near my soul. I do not fear
You, on the contrary, I love your style
I love your pause, your march, and smile
You are not lonely tonight, you are with me
And a few other curious onlookers
Who will be seeing from the balcony
Of the tallest tower: smiles, stars, and glitters.
