The Spanish Giant Poem by Geoffrey Fafard

The Spanish Giant

Rating: 4.0

I saw today an apparition
An inspiration
or perhaps
A ghost
A giant of a man
Of African descent
Tall past two metres
By some
Black as ebony
Black as coal
Black as midnight
In a storm
In a fine cut black suit
Of some value
With a shining black shirt
To match
A jet black tie
And shoes
Beaming a smile of magic
And calming that
Finished the shot
Was he the archangel
Or was he the most
Dangerous man on earth
He was I think
One or the other.

Interesting poem, I like it but I failed to come up with the SPANISH connection.
