The Misses Poem by Arupam Maity

The Misses

Rating: 5.0

That day, I stood on the hill top
I forgot what to draw
And the emperor Sun was in front of me
Though I was full with all the colors
The red was missing in the kit

That day, I stood on the mustard field
I was on a hunt to find a subject of my painting
The nature's landscape was all around
And I was tempted to start the sketch
Suddenly, I found that the green and the yellow
Left me to where I'm unable to get

After all of such misses
I tried my hand at a colorless draw
Chose a subject that a man to be sketched
After hours of unsuccessful attempts
I found that I missed the right color for the picture

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Most of the time people don't find what they aspire. Sometimes it happens that they think they almost got it but find that the right note is missing. It always remains in the vision and longings.
