Never Say To Meet Poem by Arupam Maity

Never Say To Meet

Rating: 3.5

If you return again
To this mud and meadows
If you love me again
Under this silver floodlight
If that minstrel sings again
In this moonlit wheat field
If that poet depicts again
To follow-on his passion
I may relinquish the truth
That I glimpsed you once in a fading twilight
Standing on the deck of a sinking barge
That you're floating with golden bangles
And white gown put on self
Your moist eyes are gleaming amidst the eternal dark, and
We've vowed together that
We'll never meet again
