Arupam Maity Poems

That day, I stood on the hill top
I forgot what to draw
And the emperor Sun was in front of me
Though I was full with all the colors
...

If you return again
To this mud and meadows
If you love me again
Under this silver floodlight
...

When a man of wood meet
Another man of wood
Keeping safe from fire
They sit close in a shadow of tree

The Misses

That day, I stood on the hill top
I forgot what to draw
And the emperor Sun was in front of me
Though I was full with all the colors
The red was missing in the kit

That day, I stood on the mustard field
I was on a hunt to find a subject of my painting
The nature's landscape was all around
And I was tempted to start the sketch
Suddenly, I found that the green and the yellow
Left me to where I'm unable to get

After all of such misses
I tried my hand at a colorless draw
Chose a subject that a man to be sketched
After hours of unsuccessful attempts
I found that I missed the right color for the picture
