The Man Of Wood Poem by Arupam Maity

The Man Of Wood

When a man of wood meet
Another man of wood
Keeping safe from fire
They sit close in a shadow of tree
They begin to talk in the language of wood
They throw their grief and love stored inside
Just like a snake vomits her venom
With the sound of ‘Hiss Hiss'
They show by cutting their own in pieces
And say, we had one life of tree,
Hunger, thirst, sex, fear and greed
We had the sensitive heart of
Giver and taker
By man's force and the strike of axe
Today, we're just wood
We're the man of wood!

When a man of wood meet
Another man of wood
They two become sky
Without any sound
They listen from them
The song of the generation
Being completely devastated
They return to the race course of life
Then their story of life end in the funeral

In this world of wood
Our torn, flying and dreamed generation
Live with that story of burnt wood
For many days……….
