The Light In My Dreams Poem by Benjamin Paa Willie

The Light In My Dreams

From a distance you would know
That she is an unblemished icon to have.
Her presence dawns like the sun we know,
Overwhelming the darkness that dusk did sow,
She illuminates her every path.
She is the amazement all creation share,
I have seen flowers twist to gaze at her.
In awe of her tantalizing beauty,
Parrots have been made speechless
In her presence.
She is the morning-cloud rider.
To announce her coming, doves coo;
Envious of her flawlessness, angels boo.
She is gentle and immaculate in her ways.
The stars bow at her feet for days.
She mends broken ivories
And many a carved stone.
Wow! A worthy milestone,
Spice of memories,
Sine cera.
Millimeters away,
She reads.
Lyte Reeds.
