I Do Not Love You Poem by Benjamin Paa Willie

I Do Not Love You

Rating: 5.0

Do not be frightened
That I not written
For so long
I have been looking
For papers and not finding
I had searched through
The many love letters
We exchanged
It took time, though
For I spent much time
Re-reading
I lied to you
In many of them
Frankly I do not
Love you
In the manner
I made you believe
I enjoyed lying
And must now
Enjoy speaking true
I do not love you
In the manner I whispered
In the manner I wrote
In the manner I won yours
And I must speak true
But I love no other
More
Than I love you-
The only Love
My soul knows

This is a true expression of indepth feelings; a sort of confession that tends to be provocative but true. A lot of lovers out there, do find themselves in the same shoe but lack the courage to express it, thus keep pretending till a time indefinite. The diction is simple but the poem, in my humble opinion, is a worthwhile addition to a collection. Don't lose the touch, keep writing quality works.
