The Last Hoorah Poem by Ron Pate

The Last Hoorah

As the sun sets one last time for a dear friend, let my honor to him be a celebration of life, instead of a mournful goodbye.  A friend distinguishing himself amongst men and his difference set the example for so many to follow.
Disciplined by the fire of life and hardened by the cold hand of time.  A heart warmed by the souls that his path crossed throughout the prime of his years.  A heart rallying within the countless stars on this very night.

One heart rising upward to the heavens with great adoration, one absent of tears and filled with joy as one last Hoorah is set to stone for you my dear friend.
