When I Go Home Poem by Ron Pate

When I Go Home

When I go home- Succumbing to a timeless sleep, remember I'm with you even as I slumber.  Remember the tender kisses you left on my cheek, the kisses may fade, but their love has turned to sweet sugar and streams down my face.

When I Go Home- I'm not far away, I'm present in your smile, your laughter and in your warm embrace only a seconds away, reaching out comforting your heart in the time of need.  I can promise I'll be there until time and fate, brings us together once again.

When I Go Home - your memory of me may fade leaving a void, that in time will be replaced when you think back and say my name once again....

When I go home - celebrate my loss as you once did in life, for I'm still with you in the day and in the loneliness, that has befallen upon your nights.
