Autumn's Grasp Poem by Ron Pate

Autumn's Grasp

Rating: 4.0

Autumn holds our eyes captive, for a few short months and what a grand time, the most beautiful time of the year.

Autumn colors; orange, red, brown, fill our homes and market places from north to south.  Just as far as you can see, the distant trees paint our horizons with exuberant color.

The smell of fresh baked goods in lieu of upcoming family homecomings; holidays short and bittersweet, but yet a glimmering memory to be made, bringing a distant family close for just a few short hours.

Sounds of dried leaves under foot while on a short walk, the cool breeze as it whips through nearby trees, and the warmth of a loved ones hand.  All so simple, and easily taken for granted.

Great depiction of one of my favorite seasons. In your spare time please enjoy my poem 'Firefly'. Best wishes J. L. Price
