The Great Circus Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Great Circus

I am one of you
A gentle member of a circus team
I play my part
I too live between reality and dream

I have my wishes
To play some games of my choice
I too long someone
Should give time to my feeble voice

I am one of you
One who is circled by a strong ring
Who despite the risk
Agrees to dive low with the swing

I am one of you
Smiling and crying against my wish
Member of a great circus
With crushed ego to myself I do miss

A profound piece of work. Beautifully crafted. A vivid portrayal of life in a great circus. Yes, sometimes in a regular life, life is equated with that in circus where we can be laughing and crying at the same time. A great poem on life.10++++

If life is a big circus I 'd love to be a clown! Loved this poem!
