The End Poem by Mackenzie Unger

The End

It shouldn't be called 'The End'
'The End' is so blunt

When you meet some one you always say 'Hi'
But there is always the inevidable 'Goodbye'

When you are little you have a BFF (best friend forever)
But how many times did you just say 'Whatever'

Some time you don't want it to be the end
Because this time you might just lose a dear friend.

No. 'The End' doesn't fit
It should stay in a child's story book where someone can understand it

It shouldn't mark someone's life
'The End' dosen't tell about all their pain and strife.

And when you see their soul go up into the sky
And you hear their final whispers of 'Goodbye'

You cannot say 'The End'
Cause that was my dear friend

We were suppose to be best friends FOREVER
Even when all I would say was 'Whatever'

But I guess you're right, it is 'The End.'
And I have lost yet another close friend.

As in the begining we always say 'Hi'
We will all leave eventually, even I.

So in the time I have left I will try some thing new
So until we meet again I bid you 'Adue.'
