The Door Poem by Akham Nilabirdhwaja Singh

The Door

Rating: 4.9

The door
You did not know
I opened to you
During the cyclone
When you and I
In the open
Endured its ferocity.

Far away from you
In solitude
I opened it
And beckoned you.

Interesting writing that leaves much open to interpretation. I like that. I like the repeated use of the word open in various forms. Well done. I could interpret it as a couple going through turmoil resulting from an outer force where one partner opens a door to peace of some sort.

A deep thought has been expressed through a door as if it is alive. A beautiful philosophical poem shared nicely. Loved reading it.
