The Bridge Of Reconciliation Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Bridge Of Reconciliation

You went astray to the left
And I turned to the right
Me, I immersed myself in debauchery
And you got lost on the rocky road
You and I have had our odd experiences
Many have applauded our misfortunes
After having endured so much, it's time
To reconcile since spring is here
Let's find somewhere, something in common
Let's find a menial object in the hallway
For the good God's sake, for tomorrow
At the street corner. Hence, give me your hand
And other dreams will come forth in abundance
Like the nocturnal flood. Let me tell you in advance
That I am more patient, sensitive and more fun
Talk with me. I want to bring you a lot of happy days
Woman, I hope that you are not the same person
And you've changed tones like the angelus bells
I am done, finished with the debauches
Please don't turn left or go astray in the bushes
Soon, you and I will cross the same bridge
By humming and chanting the same songs in unison.
