Tense Of Love Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Tense Of Love

Tense of Love

A woman, immigrant
-turned her life to novel:
- "Love is not in past tense! "

Of women abandoned,
-another who searches
-for right man, as lover
-gave me call yesterday.

Plenty are like her…

When many are preys
-selective is hunter.

Leaving gun on the side
-I check them one by one.

One is fat, other thin!
One is old, one in teens!
One rushes to judgment!

Wrong was on favorite
-saw had worst behaviour.

I, too, am a loner,
-need matching partner;
-eyes opened, am in search!

Opened heart and let her
-call me and come over.

Set sofas and we sat
-opposite each other.

She talked of her husband
-and reasons to leave her.
- "He is natural cheater! "

Felt using tense for love
-always in "Present, "
-not in past, future.
