Symphonic Symmetry Poem by Wright Palafox

Symphonic Symmetry

A twinge I felt, entrenched beneath,
Within my chest, this hidden crease,
Through my lost heart, the pang would seethe,
From these smiles they’d gracefully cease,

Rhythmic, trivial, this warmth bequeath,
Brought down kneeling, why can’t you see,
That those sands of time can never heath,
My wounds of symphonic symmetry,

Jubilant I turn, your heart’s with another,
These pains unhealed begin to ease,
Moments, surely, I’d start to dither,
From these smiles they’d gracefully cease,

Rhythmic, trivial, this warmth bequeath,
Brought down weeping, why can’t you see,
That those sands of time can never heath,
My wounds of symphonic symmetry,

Silent, desperate cries unheeded,
Unsheathed tears began to lease,
Within my heart, a truth now seated,
From these smiles they’d gracefully cease,

Rhythmic, trivial, this warmth bequeath,
Brought down pleading, why can’t you see,
That those sands of time can never heath,
My wounds of symphonic symmetry,

But a smile remained all throughout,
Despair, desolation, all now at release,
These, altogether, beyond such doubt,
Forever these smiles, they’d abruptly cease,

Rhythmic, trivial, this warmth bequeath,
Brought down bleeding, why can’t you see,
That those strands of melody can never heath,
My wounds of symphonic symmetry,

Though held by another, your endless grace,
A lifting delight, I witness such few,
Now etched evermore across your face,
I sway and remain ever blissful too…

*****

As long as you are happy, no matter what your notions are, no matter who you choose, no matter what you feel towards me,

I remain as happy too…

Because I love you…and I wouldn’t have it any other way…
