Recumbent Bliss Poem by Wright Palafox

Recumbent Bliss

Far behind and falling ever farther,
Into your eyes I’d gaze,
Through and from yours deeper,
I found myself a daze

The little crush I try to conceal,
I always knew wrought wrong,
Though my truths I can’t reveal,
This uncertainty, how long?

My heart now beats tenfold
Whenever I’m close to you,
As my secrets now unfold,
A fancied milieu

Five words are all I wish to whisper,
Before this feeling comes to fade,
But often it leads to a stammer,
My heart now entirely made

Though held by veils of hesitance,
I’ve had another chance more,
Before time will resume its inevitable course,
These seams I’ll cross them for

I’ve truly felt this recumbent bliss,
And sought to express it too,
All I ever wished to say is,
I have always loved you!
