Success Achieved Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Success Achieved

Success achieved.
Often is in the eye of the beholder.
Seldom in the eye to behold,
Are rolled up sleeves.
Or efforts endeavored.
Accomplished without rest to get.
With sleep to do this peacefully.

Success is more a perception.
Left to others,
To describe what it is.
Mostly between themselves.
But success is just another word heard.
Defined by the ones who have the time,
To say what they wish for themselves...
One day to achieve.
But remain unmotivated, undisciplined.
And disbelieving in themselves.
Is not what success comes for them to get.
Yet...
Guaranteed for them will be achieved,
Is a negativity to share.
More despair to expect.
And excuses made.
To create the best of them to hear.
With them accepted successfully.
