Today may have been tough,
and you think you've had enough.
The people you thought you knew,
do things they usually wouldn't do.
You miss the way things were before,
you might not even like yourself anymore.
You miss how close your friends used to be,
and you think, 'how could this be happening to me? '
Take a step back,
and give them some slack.
They aren't perfect and neither are you,
everyone makes mistakes, that's just what we do.
So take a look around,
and when you have to, stand your ground.
Just stay strong,
even when everything goes wrong.
You can get through it if you try,
sometimes everybody needs a good cry.
When it's hard as hell,
and you just wanna yell,
never forget who you are,
and remember, the stars are never too far.
Don't fill yourself with doubt,
because there is always a way out.
The best gift is always to give,
and remember, there's more to life than just to live.
