I will get over you,
and all the things you do.
I will get over your eyes,
and the way you said your goodbyes.
I will get over the things you used to say to me,
like together forever we would be.
I will get over the way you used to say my name,
and how our friendship will never be the same.
I will get over your kiss,
this I will really miss.
I will get over the butterflies you used to give,
and how you said I am the reason you live.
I will get over the way you used to make me feel,
and the oranges you used to peel.
I will get over the way you talk,
and your pigeon toed walk.
I will get over the joy you used to bring,
and that you were my everything.
I will get over what you said on the trail,
and when things got hard, you had to bail.
I will forgive you for the hell you put me through,
because for a little while I had you.
Life has so much in store,
that i will get over the fact that you don't love me anymore.
