Stay Poem by Monica May

Stay

Rating: 5.0

Stay
and be my love.
Together we can fly over rainbows
and dwell in the heavens above.

You've stolen my heart from its' cradle
and gave my spirit wings to soar.
There's no going back now;
it will never be like it was before.

Stay
forever by my side.
Together we'll conquer lifes' mountains
and sail its' seas far and wide.

My life and soul is yours to keep
till time runs out for me,
for in your arms I've found solace
and there's nowhere else I want to be.

So stay
and be my love.
Together we'll fly over rainbows
and dwell in the heavens above.

Oh what a writer of poems this is. Rhythm and rhyme. Great structure and repetition. Wow! Does Monica know poetry or what? GW62

This is a wonderfully phrased romantic poem which is quite beautifully written and expressed, Monica. I thought the repetition of the first verse as the final verse was an excellent idea, and made great poetic sense. Not many poets have the savvy to use this quite effective technique. Carl.
