I woke that day to the stars
To the stars of yesternight
Twinkling in the dark black sky
As a coy bride on her first night
Twinkling in their mild glory

I had blinked, unbelieving...
To everything, there's a time
My night to pave way for day
I liked the stars, ...at night time
But my shining sun I wanted.
------
I woke that day to the night
The sun bright, my heart dark
With the black cloak of worry.
My light of day had arrived
But I'd had to let go to see
