Standing On The Ashes Poem by Pranab K Chakraborty

Standing On The Ashes

Night long
night dark
night dense
standing on the ashes of dying values

see my land camouflaging with forgotten ancestors
globalisation sounds high to uproot us from our origin
values takes another shape to combat time well
confronting old with new
but reality dictates mother is yet mother

...after finishing such profound speech
drank mouthful of water from costly bottle
the speaker unlocking his laptop
tried to demonstrate some docus
in favour of uttered truth

at the same time same premises
the peasants behind the fence
shouting with rage
'we would not seed
the bio-tech seeds,
change the plan
change the scheme of loaning'

Speaker took high hand to disperse the gathering
first with stick then with bullet...
scenario changes and speech gets another shape
hi-breed mother took seed from test tube
hi-breed mother gives birth of hi-breed child...

bone ash of our togetherness
flying with desperate dark anger
everywhere the death likes the death of destiny
everywhere the soil getting cracks
crack crackles the gulf within ourselves
root gets lost its origin
origin finds its original destination
self-destruction becomes the choice to begin again

Night long...
night dark...
night dense...
standing on the ashes of old values
yet cry can't stop its crying
since we all are tired to be a being....

Here you opened up some of true scenario that we having now, saying in terms or biotech, science and experimental...Oh when hands say this is magical hand, 'a Midas touch' we sometimes forget all we wanted to touch everything and wanting golden wanted, till we know what we like is not actually reality and life supposed to be..Standing on the ashes, you see back where the humanity was started we live harmony in family but the speaker comes saying all about creating our life fate, not destiny...I look up and now i fall down, i be like ashes when the humanity fade out from earth...and like the ashes i will gone by wind..._Unwritten SOul

everywhere in india is true its more deadly the death of destiny than actual death of a human..tis happened with my father...Destiny killed him bit by bit and stances after stances ceasing his existential questions...i feel many such fathers like mine had died and die or will die until we are not selecting the perfect blend of old and new for the benefit of all rather than individual statistics by politicians who i know can never qualify when they sit to study statistics in indian statistical institute through the stringent/est of tests they take if they do not resort to unfair means of bribing the people what they always until now have done to exercise their importance that people pay a heed to what they say...bullets and lathis are indirect way of teaching the peasants as poor students and therefore who could not afford private lessons in a school....a glimpse of the political situation around the ashes..well written piece or article. in the form of a poem...
