you gave your hand to me
while you flashed the most beautiful smile
i have ever seen
and like a love song from long ago
you said hello
as i looked into the depth of
your very soul...

as my heart skipped a beat or two
i knew right then and there
that something more than friendship began
more than just a lovely smile, a gentle touch
that can only be felt by the heart
and shared by two...

and from that moment on
as i stood there before you
when i reached out for your hand
i knew that there will be
no turning back
just looking ahead...

with eyes locked up and hands entwined
as we savor that moment's bliss
something beautiful and everlasting
happened...
will remain...
and will keep us together
now and always...
