So Motherly Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

So Motherly

Mother’s memory rushed in mind
I could hardly weep for such kind soul
She did all she could
Including care and serving best food

“Take few more bits” she always insisted
I saw the kindness
In her bright eyes
With hidden smile

She moved her fingers
In my hair
And gently moved with affection
Such nice was her feeling and relation

I was not worried at all
She never allowed me to fall
Not in childhood alone
But when gained adulthood and became full man

She will enter room gently
Put books on shelf orderly
Set the quilt on body
With all the care so motherly

So Motherly
