Six Locks Poem by David Whalen

Six Locks

Six locks on my door!
Why not just two or three?
You really wanna know?
I’ll tell you so!
why that works so darn well for me

I put six locks
all in a row on my door
But I only lock
every other one, you see

Because while a burglar thinks
he’s pickin all six
He’s really
always lockin three
