Since That Day Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Since That Day

Since the day I met you striped
Dunes of a desert seem to submerge
In an oasis; the dry petals of flowers
Hold dew of the nights in their cold
Embrace and never feel tired to send
Fragrance across swathe of my land;
Since the day I met you I can feel the
Warmth of the sun hidden in floral orb
Of your bun; and moon's flawless shine
Seems to be hidden in the innocence of
Your smile that lends peace to my heart;
Since the day I met you hot wind blowing
Through tall palms strikes my face as soft
Breeze that flows over the ocean to stay
On my land of free and emancipated.
