Silence Piercing Thoughts Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Silence Piercing Thoughts

Silently watching the sun rise over this Arizona desert,
feeling God blessing a poet with another day of life on
earth.

Listening to a silence that pierces thoughts, relaxing
them so easily as the day progresses from morning to
afternoon.

Enjoying experiences that come from the beauty of desert
wildlife and nature, catching glimpses of mesquite and
palo verde trees.

Ocotillo, barrel and saguaro cacti spread out across this
fantastic desert, a perfect place for this poet to have
grown up after the move from New Jersey when 11 years old.
