Senses Poem by Shania K. Younce

Senses

Rating: 4.3

For we dream with our eyes.
We see with our soul.
We speak by heart.
We hear with our mind.
For our ears are blind ignorance.
Last our breath is shattered tears.
For our cries are many working thoughts.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is something I wrote around 7th or 8th grade. I thought I had lost these poems forever, but found them when I was packing up to move. I'm calling it an ode honestly I have no idea what category it falls into. Please comment at will and with honesty!

A nice poetic imagination, Shahina. You may like to read my poem, Love and Lust. Thanks

This is awesome. A poem which scouts our senses to explore much more than what they normally do. I can't believe that this has been written by an 8th grader. I like it. Thanks.
