Scattered Petals Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Scattered Petals

Scattered petals

Born a bewitching beauty;
Wherein glitters infant purity,
Guileless, wondrous and lovely,
Almost looks like a divine beauty,
Crafted by Nature’s noble hand,
Perfected to precision, sublime and prized,
An alien from a land unknown,
Looks fresh and fair in the evening sun,
Her glowing petals hiding her sin,
Mingling with beauties on the street,
Oh, God what is happening……..?
Trading in love as if it were a stuff,
Would drown her with happiness and money,
What brought her to the street?
Grim harsh world of disgrace and poverty
Has pushed little sacred feet into the world of cruelty,
Or somebody has shattered her dream,
Betrayed her with his impish wit,
That she did not know love’s way that did entreat,
Reasons may vary from root to fact,
But to this beauty no such excuses fit.
Oh, God enliven her cherished dream,
That lies within her heart,
Let evil things die within her,
And love blossoms again to beautify the world,
Oh, God breathe one soft breeze,
That may garner sacred petals,
Falling scattered on the street,
Into garden, Heaven’s garden,
Where she could bloom again........

Many many thanks............Dinesh Ji.............I am humbled.......once again I must thank you for your nice compliments on me definitely an inspiration to me, whether I deserve them or not time will say.......but I shall be disowning regret if I don't get them at all from others.....for my real happiness lies in unleashing greater things and better writings on aspects of humanity and other sensitive matters by this poor pen of mine and it is an unending process.......anyway here I could see in PH sky all are glowing stars and you are a rare gem shining brighter than others that I would be always glad to see you like this ever................
