Road You Chosen Poem by Neela Nath Das

Road You Chosen

Rating: 4.8

When I first met you my life,
you were adorned with word.
Nothing mucky could you touch.
Your road was I thought, homeward.
Your shady, serene, grassy road,
went to a peaceful, green orchard,
Seeing you treading on its path,
I listened linnet's song unheard.
Ah! what a day it was! I sat with
earnest desire, to talk, to see,
and a keen listener of your
sweet tongue, I wanted to be!
But, now you have chosen a way,
which pains me, takes my soul away.
My wish to live in this world,
goes with your walks, everyday!

A great heartfelt poem, with a sense of great loss of oneself, immersed in your lovers life you have to sow your own furrow!

Overindulgance, no overdependence or we can say giving up our own private space and violating others private space. If we respect each others private space relations can be cordial and can last till one desires. How nice would it be then. Universal theme well addressed. Thanks for sharing

The roads others choose often diverge from the one we have chosen. The solution lies in walking together ensuring that no parallel road can be laid and that is a chance of this complex life. The alternate path has its own thorns all along and they will come to know about it later. Just relax too..
