Riding Into Desert Winds Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Riding Into Desert Winds

Measures of music beckoning to intellect, caressing it gently
in melodies and harmonies tonight, thinking and holding onto
photographic pictures of memories past.

Living in them even now in senior years, a lasting memorable
way to live one's life clear to the ending of it, riding into
measures of a lifetime in the darkness of night.

Bringing out the essence of this mere poet's heart and soul,
riding into desert winds, no one even noticing at all, taking
life in hand.

Finding the wonder and beauty down every aisle of this meaning-
rul and eventful life, giving so much joy and happiness to all
in between sorrow, grief, loss and emptiness we go through.
