Rhythms Speaking Silently
Unafraid of the ebony darkness while walking alone on
pathways of a long ago moment that somehow disappeared
beneath breast cancer.
Not able to find it anywhere until now, tonight meet-
ing up with karaoke friends all welcoming this poet
into their fold once again.
Sitting and listening to rhythms as they speak silently
beneath sounds of color as they burst like fireworks all
through the night.
