Remember When... My Version Poem by Noah Body

Remember When... My Version

Rating: 5.0

Remember when...
Our kids were so small
Our love as what mattered all

Remember when...
To their games you ran them all
While I worked to support us all

Remember when...
With our camper we traveled
Before our life so unraveled

Remember when...
Against the world it was you and me
Now it's just you.. and me.. no more we

Remember when...
We were one against the world
Now alone in the corner I am curled

Remember when...
Your mother passed away
And to you I did say
For this we can pay
There'll be no fighting this day

Remember when..,
We were an us, together
Now there's no tether
To hold us together
I feel it's just the willpower of mine
That makes the sun in the sky to shine

I remember when I was not so alone
Yet forever more I must atone
For failing you so many times
I will ever regret my serious crimes

I remember when enough was I love you
Now that passes into oblivion too
Nothing I can say, Nothing I can do
Will change that for me there's only you

All I have left is I'm sorry
And that is never enough

Remember when, yet importantly remember now. You have expressed the beginning and the end with joy then now sadness. Keep that willpower alive.
