In joy I walk along, the world a rosy hue,
mind a whirl, full of thoughts of you.
The promise of your open arms,
a chance to woo you with my charms.
Your presence is a wonder, your beauty alluring,
my need for you is timeless and enduring.
Yet even though we may not last,
you’ll be a treasured memory of my past.
But hope springs eternal, our relationship strong,
I pray to Gods above our relationship will be long.
But what’s meant to be will be,
we’ll take it slow, wait and see.
