Rainy Day Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Rainy Day

Rainy day

Intemperately it was raining;
Circling swallows twittering
Piping of frogs echoing
Cold, dark, and gloomy
The day was looking
And the wind looked never weary
And it was raining incessantly
And never with me
Was my soul and heart
Thoughts of mouldering past
And hopes of youth falling apart
And the day looked
Cold, dark, and bust
And I am parched now
And horribly going dry is my mouth
Will the tears of heaven quench my thirst?
And will the tears of heaven solace this earth
Be still, my sad heart, be still
For into each life some rain is a must......
