Rain Poem by Vision Ghost

Rain

Rating: 5.0

Pouring the heavens tears into my eyes wide open
Pass through me with spirits of conscious meridian
Let the clouds burst upon me and sweep away pain
Refresh the soul steal the bitterness and feed all grain
In this field I stand alone and with arms outstretched
Letting the wind blow from the seas so far now etched

The writings of biographies of oceans in comprehension
Of all living things if only I could unite unique convention
Speak the language of all to commune to all voices unheard
Augment a method of a new found love and let all be heard
Accept in me natures fathoming when life is born this day
What if all animals could speak just would they find to say?

In the way we have forever abused every privilege taken
Upon this earth and then the next work so far unknown
If I could represent nature and of the sky, earth and water
Embrace me like fire and draw ourselves from this forever
Step onto the earths ground with skies anew in breathing
Like forests we destroyed and the ground we’re breaking

We have one star and one way and only everlasting hope
They say the virus is a defence upon Earth’s misanthrope
What if this place contains something we haven’t seen?
Can we suffice with an excuse against a force so supreme?
Or maybe this is of fictions but my daughters future isn’t
I want a world where she can breathe without fates prison

May I lie here in this field of corn and over grown grass?
Feel these pearls of precipitation and so let purity amass
Flood my land and wash away the destruction of mankind
Reveal the fertile soil so we may rebuild again though kind
To all life in respect of what we should but never have learnt
Instead of winters we freeze and the summer as land is burnt

Have we never heard the balance of insect and that of man?
The knowledge of how we are weakest in our greatest plan
We disappear and the world of animals and insects remain
But without this our existence ceases against being so vain
Perhaps would be enough for earths crying demise of us
So wonder on in life and leave the trail death that is thus

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Ben Gieske 31 March 2008

Praise to your hymn and plea. I like every part but single this portion out right now just to join with you. In this field I stand alone and with arms outstretched Letting the wind blow from the seas so far now etched The writings of biographies of oceans in comprehension Of all living things if only I could unite unique convention Speak the language of all to commune to all voices unheard Augment a method of a new found love and let all be heard Accept in me natures fathoming when life is born this day What if all animals could speak just would they find to say? Adam, Abraham, Moses, and so many others rose in the early morn from their tents, wetted their bare feet in the morning's dew, stood upright raising their hands outstreched and feeling the warmth of the mornings sun, exclaimed with their loudest voices: 'ALL THNGS ARE GOOD, VERY GOOD'. I wish we would all answer your pleas with a truly AMEN of righteous living in harmony with the universe of actualities and possibilities.
