Quietest Of Whispers Poem by Ankoku Gekido

Quietest Of Whispers

If I died
And came back to life
As someone else
Would you love me then?
Or would you still forsake me?
Still kill me unknowingly
As I wither away
Trying to forget your taste
Your touch
Your laughter
I morn the loss of you
But do I have a right?
To morn what I have thrown away?
You claim to still love me
In our most silent of whispers
Yet in public you contradict
That which has already been said
And now you love another
A love you say has never been felt
Was I not enough?
Was I to dark
For you
Since you are
The purist of light
Was I to plain
Simple
Damaged
Was my love not pure enough?
I guess the truth is revealed
The simplest of whispers
Forsaken to the wind
A past forgotten
A future anew
Built on the torn
Mangled
Body of my heart
Adieu, adieu.
