Psalm 17 Poem by Parker Perrella

Psalm 17

Lord Jesus,
The God of my Salvation,
Though not by my own innocence
But by the blood of the Savior
Have I found redemption.
Clothed in His righteousness,
There is no condemnation-
So, God, declare me innocent-
Let my vindication come from you,
Savior of all who seek refuge-
Of all who are found in you.
Protect me as your own
Hide me under your shadow of mercy.
For my enemies shall eat their fill in this life,
But in the next they shall face judgement,
But I shall see your face in righteousness,
And I shall be satisfied with your presence.
